Fresh Details Emerge Regarding the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

New information has come to light regarding the shocking deaths of renowned director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their residence residence on Sunday.

The Initial Report

As detailed in an account citing a person close to the family, a therapist arriving for an appointment initially became concerned after not being able to enter the house. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then fled the house in anguish, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had gone with her then dialed 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, along with the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently in custody and denied bail.

Clarifications

The person close to the family also disputed several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that moment.

Additionally refuted widely reported notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's conduct in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to reports of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a event hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. Although the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that claims of a "heated argument" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some accounts indicated the state of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the family home. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
