The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. This character has the ability to morph into an perfect replica of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

The new cast member is joined by a number of fresh additions set to bring the organization to reality, such as head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a key figure of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this signals a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
